Great Elders
The Great Elders are the corner stone of the Elder Council. They are arguably the most powerful and influential among them and come from the oldest existing families of Aadimhor.
Qualifications
They must have recieved the lessons necessary to understand their responsibilities and the laws and history of Aadimhor.
Requirements
To be a Great Elder one must be from the main branch of, or appointed by the head of, the corresponding clan.
Appointment
A new Great Elder is appointed by their predecessor upon retirement. There is no pomp and circumstance to go with the trade of responsibility. Simply an announcement is made and the new elder takes their place on the council.
Duties
Great Elders, like their 'lesser' counterparts, are responsible for bringing the concerns of those under their jurisdiction to the council and seeking solutions for any problems the people may have. They are also in charge of teaching the next generation of Elders on their future responsibilities and what they need to know to effectively complete the job.
