Extora
Extora was an colony of the Confederacy of Interstellar Republics, and saw many other visitors from other space-faring nations.
Geography
Extora is a highly varied planet, with large swaths of jungle, and large patches of desert. These regions change rather quickly, as rainfall patterns are erratic and unpredictable. This means jungles and quickly dry out, and deserts can be inundated with water and become populated with life, though this process is slower. The only climate-stable portions of the planet are the mountain ranges and oceans. The mountain ranges feature enormous elevation changes and are covered with snow year round. The coastlines of the oceans have slow gradients, and the waterline varies often. The waves are generally small.
Fauna & Flora
The life on Extora is dangerous. The terrestrial life features many poisonous species, most famously the Giant Barnacle. Freshwater areas house regular fish, but also the Christmas Burrow Worm, a dangerous lethal parasite. Most of the terrestrial life on Extora is near the more stable regions of the planet. Vegetation generally grows quickly and dies quickly, as the rapidly changing climate of the mild sections of the planet repeatedly fosters forests and then dries them out.
Natural Resources
The most notable and unique resource on Extora is the Nembesta Gemstone, known to give special powers to creatures when absorbed through the skin.
