Alluvium

Alluvium is a desert town known for its large Military base, located on the planet Meliora. The base was originally installed as a research outposts that grew into a full military base upon the discovery of unusual Aura activity around the equator. Amara was stationed here at the beginning of the first novel.
Alluvium is on the cutting edge for research on Aura Reactor Cores (the ARC system) used to power entire buildings, with two of its tall spired buildings featuring two glowing blue reactors in their center, though this is largely just for show due to the research only being in its early stages.
