Aura Energy
When humanity first ventured outside of our solar system, a new branch of physics was discovered. A strange energy source was freely available for humans to use and interact. This freely available energy was referred to as Aura Energy and those who can tap into these flow of energy are referred to as Aura Users.
Every person seems to be capable of using Aura energy but without developing the skill to use it, it can create heat energy as a waste product and can be dangerous if used by novices due to risk of burns and heat exhaustion.
A skilled Aura users can use Aura Energy efficiently and gain the benefits of it's enhancements without producing much heat. Although even unskilled users can benefit from free access to heat energy, and many technologies have taken avdanage of thermoeletric coupling (via @The to take this heat energy and turn it into other forms of energy.
Manifestation
When using simple Aura Boosting techniques a faint glow can be seen coming from users, but this glow is hard to see to an untrained eye. Those with Aura Vision abilities can clearly see the aura-like glow coming off a person.
Localization
Aura Energy is only known to be found outside of Earth's solar system although it has been theorized this has not always been the case. Some historical scholars have pointed to some evidence that ancient practices of magic, sorcery, ki etc may have manifested Aura energy in space pockets of history, possibly due to periods of fluctuations in Universal Aura Fields. it is still unknown why every human seems able to access and use Aura when removed from Earth's influence.
Sidenote:
Only athletes have good control of Aura outside of their hands. Your average person can only use their hands as conduits for channeling Aura energy. Dante can use it in his eyes and some can even use it to amplify their voice like a singer or leader and make it sound very charismatic. They can also make people who don't speak the same language still understand what they mean using Aura as a way of communicating thoughts and feelings
