Quadcopter

A quadcopter, also known as a helicarrier, is a military transport vehicle used for the transportation of personnel. They are not equipped with any weapons other than flares and other jammer technologies for avoiding attacks. They feature 4 rotors that generate lift similar to a drone, although unlike drones they have a nose in the front of a ship and share features with an airplane in cockpit designs, offering the best of both worlds as a hybrid between a helicopter, drone, and airplane design.

All quadcopters have the ability to magnetically attach themselves to a skyhook for transport into space, but they are not designed for space travel as they cannot generate lift. The nose of their airplane assists them with descending from low orbital space into an atmosphere without spinning out of control.
