Solar smart glass
"Smart windows" have optoelectronic coatings with thin nanomaterial films that allow for phase shifts to occur. These phase-shift materials allow certain wavelengths of the sun to be reflected or absorbed.
In addition to being ultra-energy efficient, they can be adjusted for seasonal disparities in temperature and were an integral part of solving late 21st-century climate changes.
These windows are also photovoltaic, generating electricity from the sun in the infrared wavelengths while letting visible light pass through. These transparent luminescent solar concentrators (nicknamed TLCs) are used in all skyscraper construction in order to generate power for the whole city.
