Ichor Blindness

As much as ichor and the images of the future it bestows are essential aspects of everyday life, so too is ichor blindness which almost all experience at one time or another. Acquiring it renders an individual unable to see or experience ichor visions and it is a common affliction that comes with old age. It can also be acquired temporarily through overindulgence in ichor and is thus often associated with both ichor addiction. Some are also born with ichor blindness, though this is very rare.

Properties

Ichor blindness manifests as the inability of the afflicted to experience ichor visions of any kind no matter how high the substance's quality or how much they consume. The precise reason for this hindrance is not known. It typically occurs as a consequence of old age, appearing as early as fifty or sixty and becoming common at ages seventy and above; by eighty it is all but guaranteed. Men are also more prone than women to its onset. There is no known cure and it is permanent. Many also suffer ichor blindness as a result of high levels of ichor consumption particularly if said consumption occurs within a short period of time. In this form, however, ichor blindness is rarely indefinite and may last only from a week to a month or in extreme cases a year. A few unfortunate individuals are born with permanent ichor blindness, as well.
