Doctrine of the Mystrallon Eubanora

After the destruction of Karnast in 2740, the old Doctrine it enspoused lost its authority in Othos. Small and dedicated bands of surviving scholars from the destruction attempted to salvage order from the chaos, but they were disparate and largely ignored. A period of uncertainly followed- the Eurobian government was enraptured by the possibilities. The emperors wished to harness the power of Vojûn for themselves, especially in the face of mounting political pressures from the Vestidians and Lothlanders, but also to stave off destruction from such beings as the Aspect Spirits and their prophets. Leaving Vojûn free for all hands to take was no longer viable. Debates and conflicts regarding the issue churred up the period between 2740 and 2810, with proponents of liberal and conServative Vojûnic policy violently slandering the other. Tressonar Pothyras II Valastra, descended from the vaunted Traebor, settled the   matter when he ordered the foundation of the Mystrallon Eubanora. It was a successor of sorts to Karnast, thought not in Tarimikras, and the tressonar called forth the surviving resources of the old library for this construction. Classical subjects of education, such as history, mathematics, rhetoric, and theology were taught, but Eurobians required something more practical as well- Vojûn. The Mystrallon built upon the ruins of the old and established a new direction for Eurobian Vojûn. Scholars of the new school abandoned the reckless freedom of nemeshari allowed by the Karnastian Doctrine, and placed Vojûn into the hands of the Dretlaeus and religiously associated class of society. This is the defining characteristic of the Mystrallon Doctrine- that Vojûn should not only Serve the state, but adopt religious importance as well. Those outside of the temple cadre, even in the military, are barred from openly practicing Vojûn. However, unlike the Doctrine of Welda there is no other prerequisite knowledge required. Finally, the temple of Euboa and Lysander hands down rights and priviledges of Vojûn to fellow Dretlaeus, who make the majority of Vojûnic nemeshari in Eurobia, and other protectors of Temple Eurobia- including the Dramana as of 2930, select officers of the military, and the specialized temple guard known as the Vedasar Eubanora.   In practice, the decisive changes enacted by the Mystrallon Doctrine shifted the balance of power in Eurobia firmly into the hands of the Imperial government while fueling significant resistance. Consider that the Eurobian government had been tolerant and liberal regarding Vojûn for centuries, allowing nemeshari and their ilk nearly free reign. A culture of sorts developed around that, where Vojûnic nemeshari monitored and regulated those among their rank and file, established societies to study Vojûn, and actively dissuaded its abuse. Freedom laid the foundations for security. Outside of government hands and among seasoned nemeshari, the power of Vojûn was well maintained and relatively safe. In contrast, the militant policies of weaponizing Vojûn enspoused by the Gledgastian Doctrine exacerbated the worst aspects of Vojûnic energy. In this peaceable way Vojûn coexisted with Othosar society at large. Suddenly, that was gone. Like the Everosi before them, the Eurobians allowed fear and hunger for power to blind their judgement. They harnessed Vojûn’s power and placed it in the hands of the Dretlaeus after Karnast’s demise, but exposed Othos to the same turmoil as Everos. Underground socities of these ex-legel nemeshari formed and violently resisted the theft of their ancient rights. They went by names such as the Vedasar Moluthas, Soresar Revo Megeron, Semon Eshor, and others. These organizations targeted the temple of Euboa and cult of Lysander foremost, for they were the orchestrators of their miSery. In the dead of night bolts of blazing white Vojûn would tear through the silence and inflame the temples and those inside, and battle raged in the streets between the Vojûnic aligned socities and the Eurobians. This continued until around the 2840s, when the final generation of Karnastian studied nemeshari finally died by natural causes or the blade.
