Lyseros Pyrgós

The founder of the Eurobian Empire began life as a simple fish monger in Twilight Era Varikon, which was then part of the powerful Tressatar of Atedoros. It was the late 1100s, and a time where conflict stirred in the distant south of Othos and among the enigmatic Gressar in the Enaorebaru. However, the foothills of northern Eurobia remained aloof from distant border struggles and raids. Lyseros was therefore a content and prosperous man by any measure- descended of a long time of traders and fishermen from the region. He owned a fishing vessel which double as a trading scoon when required, and thus spent most days prying the waters for livelihood. Accounts state that he was married and fathered children, yet their names and personalities are completely lost to history. Lyseros lived with them until around the age of 30, when tragedy and destiny crashed upon him.   She was the daughter of a widowed sailor who has always wanted to travel. She loved the ocean and all living creatures. She was a single child whose mother died when she was 13 and did not have any brothers or sisters. She would always stay by herself while her father traveled and lite a fire to try to help him reach home. Her dad would always sail in the autumn when the sea was crisp yet calm.   She met Lyseros when she was 17 during the summer of 1494 near the silimear sea east of fort Zarkias. He was 22 at the time. He found her house because of the fire she would always keep lit for her father. She was by the sea staring at the stars with the moonlight reflecting beautifully in her hair. He was memorized by her beauty. She was singing old sailor songs in her native language. He just laid down under the moonlight by the fire and fell asleep to her singing. When he woke up he was covered in warm blanket. When he got up She was throwing a stick into the water playing fetch with her dog each time getting closer to the water. When she was almost about half way up to her knees, her dog tackled her to get the stick. This caused Lyseros to laugh causing her to meet his gaze for the first time.   They spent the afternoon discussing random bits of information then spending the night staring at the stars. He stayed with her three weeks before departing promising to see her again.   1495 to 1499 he made yearly visits bringing her gifts of things across othos that he had seen that reminded him of her.   In 1499 Lyseros receives word of a shipwreck located near Weldring. It was of a widowed sailor. After confirming it was her father, he returned to her in the spring. He asked her to accompany him on his journey promising her he would never leave her. She agreed.   Summer of 1500 Lyseros proposed to her near lake Illidost. In the autumn of 1500 they were married on the fields outside Pyrogoros. After that occasion, Arata shed her Vestidian name for a more proper Eurobian name, choosing Sypira as her favorite.   In late 1501, at age 22, Sypira was conceived with her first child.   Lyseros’s later years were passed with Sypira in close proximity.   Sypira endured the death of Lyseros with great sorrow and continued to offer guide to her children. She preached brotherhood and cooperation, but the allure of political power was too great. Her three sons, Arqellenis, Getas, and Syrgus declared open war upon one another for the unoccupied Tresivar of Eurobia. The loss of Syrgus amid this Brother’s War was too grave a burden for Sypira and her heart was shattered.
