Oberisar

The origins of Oberisar, best known of Imzeral’s prophets, are mundane aside his contemporaries. He was a Eurobasar by birth, erudite in his ways, and moderate in his means. He studied in the legendary center of Othosar learning, Karnast, and became a teacher there for some years. Oberisar dwelled with this Eshanic voice for years. It continued to appeal that he might search for it beneath its foundations and within its walls.   With the death of Sor’des in late 3421, Oberisar and his allies of Imzeral were deprived of their chiefest ally. All the remnants of Typhon were gathered by the victors, being the Isset Ghonol of Corgastor and those companions of Sor’des who betrayed him. Only the Band of Ectival was left to Oberisar, for his companions were tasked to research it. Ectival, who sensed the danger, bid that Oberisar and his allies hide themselves away in foreign continents or strongholds. Obersiar was suspicious of Ectival, however, for it was his reputation to sow confusion. The suggestions were ignored and the Imzeralians remained steadfast in northwestern Othos, near Azadyar. Ectival continued to clamor for their removal, more for his own survival, but the louder he complained the more Obersiar suspected him. The artifact was tucked away into hidden chambers, silencing it while Oberisar awaited Sor’des. Yet, the prophet of Sinestra never returned. Those who did come were the Isset Ghonol, who raided the Imzeralian bastion and stole away the remaining artifact, killing those who attempted to halt them. Oberisar escaped this turmoil by running to Azadyar, then taking ship toward Nevan, leaving behind years of labor.   The journey upon ship lasted many weeks. Oberisar hid himself away from any eyes, speaking with none. He finally arrived in early 3422. His next objectives were uncertain. Without Imzeral or the Aspect Spirits to take concern with, what might his intellect be turned toward? The possibilities were fresh and endless. He entered the nearest settlement beside the port and purchased roomage for himself. Those books which remained to him kept him company. Oberisar passed through them, reflecting on all which was lost, and in that moment gasped as steel plunged into his neck. It was an arrow loosed through an open window- an agent of the Isset Ghonol snuck into the night. Obersiar twitched upon the floor dying, gulping for air and gurgling for help. None came for him. He died, and with him died the last vestiges of Typhon.
