Qazunari

During the era of Olûn, before the First Feud tore apart the tenuous balance between the Eshan, there was a proto-political entity known as the Qazunari. It was comprised of several Ebal’eshan who swore allegiance and apprenticeship to Qazun, known as the creator of Qadayen fauna in those halcyon times. They percieved him as fairest among the elder Eshan, for he sought to create for beauty and knowledge rather than strive for personal glory or power. In contrast, Atûn and Aebaster, chiefest in scheming within that political scene, spent their times fighting among themselves in petty rivalries that amounted to mere anger and violence. What was the result? Nothing. As the Eshan crafted – from base elements of creation, the specter of devastation loomed heavily. Fear and withdrawn silence became the dominant demeanor among those Eshan who desired to remove themselves from proud folly. Acolitus yet reigned supreme, however, and suppressed the subtle attempts the feuding elder children made to coerce their siblings. The motivations of the Qazunari were thus bound by the desire of the Ebal’eshan to protect themselves from the machinations of the Alor’eshan. Qazun himself was oblivious to much of this strife.   By the time of the First Feud, there were eight members of Qazunari. Their names have been largely lost to history, save the two that survived all the travails and escaped unscathed- These individuals immersed themselves within the knowledge and works of Qazun, gathering together in harmony and creation. While many of the beasts of Qadal may be attributed to Qazun himself, more still were created by the hands of the many apprentices.   The Eshan who crafted Esha together were shattered by the hideous cruelty and bloodshed of the First Feud. No longer could they coexist with one another without the memories of those dark years driving them to anger. This division was worst between the allies of Aebaster versus the allies of Ácolitus, both of whom considered their cause just and their opponents misguided killers.
