The Constructs of Qázun – Viscari

The Viscari live in murky history and popular legend more than they had ever existed in reality. They were the oldest sentient race in Qadal, the craft of Qázun during the time of Olûn, when all the world was being crafted by the Eshan. In the short duration of their existence in Zaregallis, from the time of their creation to the end of the First Feud, they created a thriving society under the gracious and watchful eye of their creator. The Viscari dwelled in villages carved from the ground in great, shallow basins. Within them were huts of domed stone, small enough for only single individuals to occupy. Families, society, and other concepts were entirely unknown to these early peoples. As a civilization, the Viscari endeavored to expand, a self-fulfilling existence that was conducted not unlike the beasts Qázun had created elsewhere. They themselves were simple beings, not nearly as complicated as their mortal descendants that would follow. The Viscari did require sleep, but all they used for energy was water, drinking it in jars hand carved out of oblong rocks. They process of their life followed a steady rhythm of subsistence, settlement, and sleep. They acted as an experiment, the first step in the evolution of mortal life. In that regard, they were an inspiration to the Eshen who later created mortal life of their own and would have been a stable culture in Voryndal had they not been destroyed during the First Feud.   Their connection to Qadal is derived from the fleeting settlements which were established there at the behest of Qazun.
