Mesian is known to Eshanic history as a passive player in vicious feuds and political affairs. Others, such as Atûn, Aebaster, Ácolitus, and Corgastor are known as the great fighters of the age upon whose actions and decisions the world is dictated. This is a superficial understanding of history. Mesian was never weak, but rather subtle, and plied her powers and schemes in manners which were effective but drew minimal attention. Most important then, was creating a strong union between the Eshanic energies of the Eshan themselves and mortals who were the designated bearers of such power in Esha per Kovûnkal.
The organization remained dormant for centuries. None beyond an insignificant, esoteric minority knew anything about its existence, and their exploits were relegated to misunderstood folklore. Mesian was fine with this change. The relics imbuded with Eshanic power, something akin to infantile life, remained secure where depositied. No abuses of power were possible. Meanwhile, the domain of the Elivas flourished in strength, enriching themselves upon a continent which was weaker and more fragmented than themselves.
Tribulations worthy of the Mesianic artifacts were unseen until the conclusion of the Imperial era and dawn of the Wandering era, when Zarthum decimated the ranks of the Eshan and wrought immeasurable destruction. The initial blow was too swift to be counteracted. Not a single mortal nor Eshan foresaw what Ácolitus prepared in long secret. When Zarthum arrived, his slaughter and death happened within the matter of a single day, so that the gathering of agents to wield the Mesianic artifacts was impossible. Perhaps this sudden reality was the most severe shock of the age. Centuries of preparation meant nothing if the blow was too swift.
Unwilling to wait for the next destructive event, Mesian immediately began the process of reorganizing the Beacons of Mesian. She foremost drew from the ranks of the Elivas, who were her people, but also sought talent among the other mortal races of Qadal.
