Calgamau Island

Calgamau Island is one of the largest islands to the west of the mainland. It was once home to a sprawling elven civilization that covered the entirety of the island, but after a curse swept over the island, the trees began to overgrow the cities and the elves that once protected them. That civilization has been reduced to the single city of Clare View Point. The island is named after the once great city of Calgamau that was the capital city of the island. The curse on the island was placed about 600 years ago after a group of druids on the island released a great demonic spirit that inhabited the great spirit tree of the island that the elves worshipped some time ago. The Druids of Calgamau intended to bring forth a great spirit that would bring forth plentiful harvests on the island as well as bringing more fish in from the sea but were unaware of the spirits true intentions. Once he was summoned he convinced the druids to lower their wards and eat gifts of fruit he created, just to be betrayed. The fruits were of corruption and turned the elves of Calgamau to rubble.
