Crystal Lion
These beautiful and fearsome creatures resemble lions with manes of mystical crystal. This grants them a connection to the earth and heightened physical attributes, including strength, speed, and vitality.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Aside from its crystalline mane, a crystal lion differs from an ordinary lion only in its eyes, which it has four of.
Ecology and Habitats
Crystal lions tend to live in places where large crystals are common, allowing them to make use of their camouflage while stalking their prey. They don't have any other preferences, though, and can inhabit forests, mountains, and even caves, provided they have enough light.
Behaviour
Crystal lions are highly territorial, and respond to any perceived threat with swift aggression.
Additional Information
Social Structure
Crystal lions form prides, but since there is almost no distinction between male and female, each member fulfills each required role roughly equally. The pride leader is still the strongest male in the pride, and fights for this position are fierce.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Crystal lions retain their sharp noses, but they can also detect nearby vibrations in the ground with enough precision to locate prey.
Lifespan
75 years
Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
