Astrid Stoickdottir is a warrior from the island of Grimsa.
Astrid is an only child being born to Stoick Stephenson and Gro Irondottir both members of the Grimsa tribe. During the Great Raid her mother died fighting a deadly nadder Astrid grabbed her mothers hammer and crushed the dragons skull at the age of thirteen gaining the reputation as the youngest dragon's slayer on the island. Her father Stoick was gravely injured in the Great Raid and unable to walk leaving it to Astrid to bring coin in for the family.
After the great raid Astrid joined the island guard working from dawn till dusk everyday as often as she could.
Astrid strives to be the greatest warrior on the island and has become the self appointed rival of the child of the current greatest warrior, Vivica Dragedræber daughter of Yarik Dragedræber.
