Bonani Katana

Bonani Katana, used by The Amambambo People, it has a deliberate heavy design, its hilt extra ordinarily long.

Steel

Technically the blade can be made from any metal, but Firemoon rock mixed with steel appears to be the greatest combination of weight along with the melding of The Firemoon rock.

The alternative is made of steel and iron, with an iron core, this is extremely useful for a bending option.
Other metals, along with other qualities of iron can alter its usefulness.
The main function for it is to be an all-purpose, self-defence and war weapon.

Heavy

It is heavy, the density is a very deliberate element included to take advantage of the above human strength naturally, this allows for the ability to break standard swords along with breaking their armour, little is more effective than a Bonani Katana to the skull/helmet when swung well.

Swinging Well

A good swing is a massively big deal. Entire cultures and ethnic groups forming around the expert wielding of the blade.

One of the challenges to possessing a good swing comes in dealing with balancing the weight, along with the extended hilt, which allows for heavy swings.

But a heavy swing is not an effective tool in a prolonged or multi-directional battle.
Speed is the key and that speed is translated in the form of momentum. It must be continuous and ever-flowing.

How that is ever used will depend on the martial art. This can bounce from those who alter their stances in order to always bring down their swing with the ultimate force, only to swing it back up to those who'll swing it so much it creates a shield that makes strategising against it the same as planning to fight a raging river.

Design

The length of the blade can alter all the time. But 1.5m is generally the starting length. The length would be tied to a users height, average, medium height warriors will have their lengths be 2m to 2.5m. Tall warriors having their as tall as 3m.

It is not meant to be as long as a spear or a tall sword.

Tall hilt

The hilt of a Bonani Katana is unique in that the hilt is made up of the majority of the sword.

The length of the hilt and sheer weight is designed so The Amambambo People can wrap around their limbs around the hilt to swing it effectively.
