Avar City Watch
Origin:
The Watch was one of the first groups formed when Avar was in it's infancy. They were called upon when the newly founded village came under peril from the creatures of the night and from traitors within. As the village grew, so did the Watch; not only in ranks but soon creating different branches that specialized in different forms of conflict such as with monsters, crime, and general protection from the outside world. Soon the City Watch laid claim to an entire district of Avar and has become an essential key to the city's defense and being able to keep their sovereignty.
Description:
The Avar City Watch is led by a fierce leader known as Captain Urbain who has focused on keeping the ranks of the watch from getting too comfortable in a time of peace and have them ready for anything at any moment. The watch has become thin in protecting the newly founded settlements and the Captain has been desperately trying to train new batches of recruits without cutting any corners which has become a tedious and drawn-out process. This long process has forced most settlements to creating their own forms of protection which has unexpectantly caused another step of independence away from Avar.
The watch mainly spends their days patrolling Avar and helping defend it citizens. Their mere presence ahs helped keep crime to a minimum but is still present within the city. To combat the shady underworld within Avar, the Watch has created a special unit of secret police that help in the shadows to bring criminals to the light. Another specialized unit within the Watch consists of Capital Knights who are heavily trained and heavily armored; they are called upon when strength is lacking and are the main protectors of the Founders.
