A Cyberpunk RED Game
Premise
How did it come to this? You think to yourself. Where did it all go wrong? You find yourself laying on a dirt stained mattress pad in a dingy dilapidated studio apartment in a building that should have been condemned last millenia.Your immediate neighbors are the aggressive cockroaches that you have waged a losing war with using many different products guaranteed to kill all manner of pests. It probably doesn’t help that you haven’t thrown out last week's soy-meal containers. You dread even leaving this cesspit of something you barely can think of as home because you’ll never know what you’ll find out in the hallway. Last week it was some checked-out XBD addict sprawled across the hallway carpet. The week before that was a dead girl slumped against your door after overdosing on Black Lace. Or maybe it will be one of the various collectors of protection money who could care less that you paid some other collector the previous day. You know the old saying? Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get. That only holds true if it is a box of assorted flavors of kibble that is three years past its expiration date. All you really know is on Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, eddies tops it all. You need eddies if you’re going to survive this craphole you’ve gotten yourself into, choom. Only problem is, your expenses currently outweigh your income. You need money for rent and food. Complicating matters is the shit hole you live on is ground zero for a turf war between a few gangs. Each gang demands protection money to keep you safe from the other gang. Of course, paying another gang gets you beat. Not paying any of the gangs gets you beat. You’re playing a zero sum game. Something’s gotta change. Word’s gotten out. Some choom wants to organize something. Someone wants to see if by teaming up, you can all get out from under. So far, nobody knows who is organizing it other than they live in your building and there’s a location for the meetup. But…it could be a trap of course… Note: This game will be more role-play focused. Making connections that can help your character develop, find things they need to survive, etc.Character Creation
Background
Where are you from? What are you like? What have you done? What are your dreams? What are your goals? Most importantly, what kinda stupid gonk-brained thing did you do to find yourself in the pit of doom you find yourself in? Near-money-less, near-friendless, mostly hopeless.Stats
You have 62 points to assign to your stats. The only limit is that no STAT may be higher than 8 or lower than 2. Divide up your STAT points between the ten STATs in the block. On average, you should be able to put at least 6 points in each STAT with a couple of points left over.
Derived Stats
Hit Points: You have Hit Points equal to 10 + (5[BODY and WILL averaged, rounding up]).
Their Death Save is equal to their BODY Statistic.
For every point of Empathy the Character has, they gain 10 points of Humanity (HUM).
Roles
Starting Roles will be at rank 2. No one may start as an Exec.Skills
You have 66 points to spend on skills.- No Skill can be higher than 5 (Exception: you may have one skill at rating 6)
- The following Skills must be at least Level 2: Athletics, Brawling, Concentration, Conversation, Education, Evasion, First Aid, Human Perception, Language (Streetslang), Local Expert (Your Home), Perception, Persuasion, and Stealth. The points for these skills come out of your 66 points.
- Skills marked in the Master Skill List with a (x2) cost two Skill points to increase in Level by one. All other Skills cost one Skill point to increase in Level by one.
- Don't forget the 4 Levels of Language you get free based on the Cultural Origin section of your Lifepath
Gear
You will start with Kevlar armor for your head and body.You will start with a medium melee weapon (Poor Quality) (For example: Baseball bat, crowbar, machete, etc)
You will start with a Medium Pistol (Poor Quality) and 24 basic ammo for it
You will have 500e to spend on other gear that is not armor or weapon.
You will start with one month rent and kibble lifestyle paid for.
