The Kingdom of Veilan

Structure

The Kingdom of Veilan is ruled by a Regent Lord, who has the greatest power over the politics over Veilan. The Regent Lord are selected for their valor and intellect to rule for their life, until another suitable Regent Lord is found. The Senate of Sword, which is comprised of powerful noble houses and military leaders, the Senate elects the Regent Lord, and are responsible for leading military action.

Demography and Population

3.4 million (approximate) The majority of the population are humans with significant minorities of wood elves. The capital city of Crasmere houses the biggest population, approximately 28 thousand people. The second largest city in Veilan is the port city of Jalucia holding around 20 thousand residents.

Military

Veilan boasting 295 thousand active military personnel only coming second to Silan's numbers. Veilans Royal Army is known to produce the best swordsmen in the Northern Kingdoms. Its swordsmen equate to at least five knights due to rigorous training at a young age. Veilan also has a small brigade of Mages who mastered the way of the sword and combine their magic with their weapon creating the Spellswords of Veilan. Veilan also has a large number of Archers, Crossbowmen, and cavalry.

Views on Magic

The kingdom of Veilan believes that magic is an unpredictable risk, but its use is more than justified in service to the Regent Lord and the Veilan People.
