Geomodis

General description

The genetic modification disease (Gemodis) is known to be one of the rare uncurable the death disease in the universe. So far, all the research that has been done in the Pact Worlds found no cure. It is a strange DNA degenerative sickness that transform the chromosomes of cells to prokaryotes, primitive cells.

The symptoms and the attack on the body

Nobody knows when or how they are infected. The transformation is known to be either slow (over years) or amazingly fast (a couple of weeks) with no standard. The first symptoms people see is the change of eye color, it starts by getting a bluish color. There is no way to know who is sick from it before the eye color change. The test to discover the infection is very expensive (10 000 cc per test) and futile until you get the first sign of the disease.   The second symptom is the dizziness and mood swing the infected get. Creating havoc with his/her/it/they relationship.   Where the disease is very lethal is when the body starts to combat and eliminate bad cells like any other disease, the infected cells divisions are faster than their elimination of them.   On average people live between 8-12 years but some cases were seen to survive up to 20 years with the disease. One thing is clear, nobody has survived this sickness.

Immunity and infection spread.

It seems some races are immune to this disease. Of course, Androids cannot be affected by this, but they are not the only one, so far, we have found that Barathu, Contemplative, Draelik and Formian seems to be immune.   The infection effect one creature out 100 000 000 with a rad of 0. After many years of study, the spread seems to be slow and we know for sure this disease is not contagious. We are still looking to find the source of this sickness but assume you are either born with it or you are infected by it in another unknown way.   Research   Investment on the research of this disease is very slime, just a few companies invest in this. Since the contagion is unknown and extremely low infection rate the motivation to invest in it is low.

Transmission & Vectors

It is unknown how this disease is transmited. Vectors of transmission seems completly random. Some people were living in isolation all their life yet they caught the disease.
