Overview

The Frostfang Expanse is a vast, frozen wasteland located in the center of the Mirrorback City-States. Known for its extreme weather conditions and dangerous wildlife, the Expanse is one of the most treacherous regions in the world. Despite its challenges, it holds significant importance for the surrounding cities and their inhabitants.

Geography and Climate

The Frostfang Expanse is characterized by its perpetual snow and ice, creating a harsh and unforgiving environment. Great snowstorms frequently sweep across the region, drastically reducing visibility and making travel exceedingly perilous. The terrain is a mix of icy plains, snow-covered hills, and hidden crevasses, further complicating navigation.

Flora and Fauna

The Expanse is home to a variety of dangerous creatures adapted to the extreme cold. These include ice wyverns, frost giants, and enormous yeti-like beasts. The presence of such formidable wildlife makes the Expanse a perilous place for the unprepared. However, it also serves as a hunting ground for the bravest and most skilled hunters, seeking the valuable resources these creatures provide.

Human Activity

Due to the extreme dangers, human activity in the Frostfang Expanse is limited. The few who traverse it must take great care, often employing experienced guides and sturdy, well-equipped caravans. Most traders and travelers prefer to use the Frostfang River  which skirts the western edge of the Expanse, providing a safer and more reliable route between the Mirrorback cities.
