The Royal Gallican Mage's College is established

Founding

As an attempt of conflict resolution between the church of Xaaris and the The Raven Knights, the Gallican Mage's college was founded.

Leading up to this conflict were decades of the Raven Knights hunting down sorcerers, priests and anybody that practiced magic while being even somewhat unpopular. They would burn their targets alive and burn their research and knowledge alongside them.
This was unacceptable to the priests of Xaaris, that value knowledge above all. So the two sides came into conflict, and things escalated until the crown was forced to put a stop to it.

In order that those sorcerers and priests may continue their research and continue practicing their craft, but that the people are protected from rogue madmen and to prevent a repeat of the Necromancer Crisis they would need to be kept an eye on.
As a compromise, a central institution was established in Gallica, where both sides were granted insight and would allow sorcerers to conduct research and be educated while keeping a lid on any excesses.
