Kainuu

Boreal forest makes up most of the biome in far northern Kainuu. The forest mostly consists of birches, pines and spruces. The landscape consist of lakes, hills and vast uninhabited land.
Harsh and beautiful, Kainuu is home to several tribes of snow leopard Tabaxi, including the Roaring Glaciers clan.
Far from more hospitable coastal areas, the land has yet to feel the depredations of human settlement, though the steady advancement of men calling themselves "Finns" along the river valleys and waterways of Suomi has not gone unnoticed by tribal elders of the region.

Movement is halved during spring and summer and impossible during winter and autumn without a native Tabaxi guide.
