Chimeric Adeptive's
Chimeric Adeptive's are a group of humanoids who have undergone a treatment to replace there limbs or whole sections of there bodies with the specially engineered ones of Chimera's, giving them abilities beyond what is capable by normal humanoids. Unlike Chimera's who can change there physical characteristics with the interdiction of mutagens into there form, most adaptive's cannot undergo mutations because what remains of there original form cannot survive the introduction of these substances. Unlike the completely engineered Chimeras who has a dull-witted obedient's and unable to efficiently improvise, Adaptive's are humanoid and retain there intelligence. This makes them effective fighters able to plan, organize, and think out situations.
Adaptive's were normally taken from injured soldiers, special forces, criminals and the unwanted and undesirables. Many went through painful experiments in secret facilities under governmental control. These adaptive's were used in warfare and as special forces.
In recent times the use and creation of adaptive's was outlawed under international law and treaties,and any adaptives created during or afterward the war becomes the property of international organizations and military units. The only organizations that create adaptive's in recent times are illicit factions. Such as mafias, paramilitary organizations, assassin guilds and other illegal and criminal organizations.
It is rumored that an rogue governmental biomancer sells there service to criminal organizations and create adaptive's to serve as body guards, hitman, assassins and strongman. Others claim that a secret government organization dispatch biomancer's to illicit groups to create adaptive's so they can take them out and claim the adaptive's.

History
Chimeric Adeptive's were originally created to serve as a special forces organization. Recently they are only created and used by criminal organizations.
