Thaumaturgical Meta-Material Development: Alter Arms and weave ware

The development of and conversion of physical matter, and the shaping and transformation of it. Is the specialty field of study for the school of meta-material development taught in Rationalizer Caster universities and institutions. To laymen and commoners the students and professionals in the field create magic items and wears, though there is more to the field then the uninitiated could imagine. The School and study is not particularly exciting besides for the innovations and technologies that emerge from the field and its research. Artist, engineers and builders makes up the core beneficiaries and professions to make up the field of study.
The field has four interconnected inseparable sub fields of study.

1. Alchemy: This sub field focuses on the conversion and or manipulation of transforming ordinary matter into other forms.
2. Meta physical Trans-matter manipulation: This field of study focuses on the creation and research of synthetic man made elements. Through the manipulation of there structure with the use of Weaves (magic). Normally the created elements/materials have a half life of a couple of seconds before they fall apart.
3. Encoding/Enchanting: This field of study focuses on the installation of weaves or patterns, which are weaves created to not be attuned. They are encoded onto a item or into a material. Allowing the weave to be expressed through the introduction and control of chroma.
4. Thaumaturge material fabrication: The practice of creating materials and products using the knowledge gathered in the fields of research. This field is the practical use of information gathered in school of meta-material development through the creation of materials to the encoding of a pattern onto that material to the shaping of the material into a usable product. Leading to the innovation and creation of unique materials and elements, greatly contributing to magi-technologies and advancements.

Applied Developments

This field of study has led to the discovery and advancements of innovative creations. One such being Phosphorescent alloys, these materials are used in the construction of arms, armors and other wears. The material resembles tinted frosted glass semi translucent in form. Most of its aspects are similar to steel meaning it can hold a sharp edge and is resistant to fracturing when struct onto other hard materials. The alloy has proven indispensable in the construction of encoded wares. Its makeup allows for the anchoring of patterns, which in the past would have to be done in normal materials by introducing an anchoring material such as a weave catalyst. The alloy glows with the chroma signature of its user.

These unique weapons have an encoded weave in them which allows for the manipulation of the blades form. By the expression/powering of certain threads that make up the encoded weave. Allowing the blades to go around a shield to strike a target. Though they can just be manipulated when in use allowing for strikes to be unpredictable and moving around defended blows. Though a skilled swords person can predict the weaves expression and the manipulation and movement of the blade allowing them to defend against its attacks. An advancement to the blades allowed for the creation of wave blades incorporating finer faster manipulation and alteration of the blades form.
