Crawford Gang

A band of desperadoes that once roamed southeastern Kansas - now having been brought to rough justice by the Hennessy Agency.

• Emmett Crawford - a natural-born killer and leader of the gang. (deceased)
• Blue Crawford - the middle Crawford boy - mean as a snake. (deceased)
• Kardiff Crawford – the youngest Crawford, but just as mean. (also deceased)
• Bole Yancy - a young cowboy who fell in with the wrong crowd. (deceased)
• Vernon Throckmorton – another stupid cowboy sent to an early grave. (deceased)
• Blackie Philmont – a no-good drifter and boot pisser. Presumed to be among the living

The bodies of the Crawford Gang were handed over to Benton Kramer, the Glenwood town constable.

Disbandment

Shoot out with agents of the Hennessy Agency along the Osage Trace north of Glenwood, Kan. on the morning of March 17th, 1873.
