Nature of the Universe

Magic within the realm of Broken Empires draws its power from the ambient area. Energy is everywhere and in anything, thus magic in some shape or form is everywhere. It can be shaped, stored and manipulated in a myriad of ways. There is no distinction here between the magic of the wizards and other forms of magic. Wizardy is the result of millenniums of arcane research and meticulous note taking. They have learnt what ancient shamans and priests have learnt through intuition and passed down over time. Druids and Clerics and most other spell casters continue this methodology to the present day.

Manifestation

A mage speaks focuses and begins casting a spell, commanding the elements around him with his words, he motions with his hands shaping the energy through him before guiding into his focus - a straight metal rod from which a paralyzing wave of energy erupts.
