Ragnarim
Lord of the Lessers Ragnarim (a.k.a. The Red Prince)
When the hordes first came East during the Ascendancy of the Dragons, no flight yearned for the riches of the Alterac mountains and sought to humble the giants as violently as the Ancient Red Drake Ragnarim. Dragons of the Red flight flew into the Alterac mountains with a vengence engaging in brutal combat.
Jan Goldbeard went into battle alongside Meteos, Chief of the Cloud giants of the Alterac peaks. Useless was the red dragon's flame breath against the shield of the dwarves - poised to seize victory the Giant Chief Meteos pressed his advantage. Unable to accept defeat, the great dragon Ragnarim instead chanelled all of his essence through magic into a molten core that killed himself before exploding - felling Jan and Meteos alike. As the molten shards fell through the air they fell onto Hobgoblins, and Lizardmen and transformed them into the first Red Dragonborn. The largest of these pieces solidified into a massive brass egg from which centuries ago emerged another red dragon.
Rebirthed, Ragnarim continued his campaign of domination upon the Dwarves of the Alterac mountains for centuries, now King and sole possessor of the Palace of Cloud Giants atop the Alterac peeks.
The Forge of Kings slew him over the mountain. Elodhen fell in the battle.
