Basic Information

Biological Traits

Trolls can live for up to a millennia, although they mature at the same rate of humans they are not considered true adults until they reach the age of 40. A troll's ears and nose grow eternally albeit at a greatly reduced pace after they hit their first 70 years.

Ecology and Habitats

Trolls predominately live in the forest, their lanky arms and keen senses adapt them well to hunting, surviving, and navigating the thick forest and jungles of the Alaman.

Civilization and Culture

Naming Traditions

A trolls first name usually consists of two syllables and follows the pattern of consonant-vowel-consonant or vowel-consonant-vowel, and the inverse in the second syllable. For example: Asta'var; Vol'iji; Unu'mag; Mon'aka
Trolls may have a clan name which is typically named after some deed or act that clan or a prominent member has performed in the past. A troll clan that poisons their arrows may be known as "Snakebite"

Major Language Groups and Dialects

The Trolls have their own language, utilizing the same script as Orcish, it consists of many deep repetitive vowel sounds.

Common Myths and Legends

In their faith the trolls worship Loth as their primary religious figure.

Lifespan

Up to 1000 years, most do not live past 80.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking

A forest trolls skin may vary from a light teal to a more pine like dark green. Shadow trolls skin has more variability ranging from a dusky grey, dark shades of blues and purples.
