Massacre of Zaragoza

Military action

1456AD
17/4

Domingo de Arbués, a well-liked general, is murdered in Zaragoza a few weeks after a diviner predicted he would eventually die of assassination. Outraged citizens turn on the Arbitrist minority, and a man was accused of the murder on flimsy grounds and taken in for questioning. Arbitrists gathered outside the court house to protest his arrest, until Aragonese troops arrived and massacred the crowd. This kicked off the Iberian War of Free Will.
