The Shadowed Forest
Imagine a darkened forest, over grown with trees and the tallest of which can easily overcome a mountain. Within the forest, all manner of beast and man alike call it home. Those beasts and men hunt within these woods. The tribes of men make there villages in the canopies or in clearings and go out to hunt the beasts, who in turn fight against men for survival. The Lord of the Forest views this as a prime example of the natural order of things, so he lets its denizens go about their lives unhindered.
Geography
The Shadowed Forest covers a large amount of area in the region. Within the forest itself, clans will either travel into a nomadic lifestyle or settle within more habitable areas, such as in clearings within the woods or within the canopies of the forest. Rivers of water do cut into the forest, forcing the majority of the inhabitants to at the very least stay close to them.
Fauna & Flora
Beasts were the first ones to live within the Shadowed Forest and they live to always remind the men who dwell within it. Razorhorns are exist as the fiercest kind of game, with the killing of one often being a sign of honor and recognition within the native clans. A common predator that the native humans must deal with consistently, are the Bloodwolves, who are rumored to be the scions of an exiled former companion of Ith'qual.
Natural Resources
The wood of the forest is highly sought after due to its extreme durability, heavily sought after as a cheap alternative to stone walls. Iron deposits can be found within crevasse and caves, which the natives will mine whenever they can so they can forge weapons when they cannot barter for them with outsiders. Hunters also sometime venture to the Forest in search of game, so they may sell there pelts and meat to interested merchants.
