Old Ornac

Old Ornac was the oral language of the ancient scientists of Orr, a precise and powerful tongue that held the key to understanding the fundamental truths of the universe. Its utterances resonated with cosmic significance, granting insight and knowledge to those who spoke it. With Old Ornac as their guide, the people of Orr created wondrous inventions and awe-inspiring structures. However, the mysterious disappearance of the island's inhabitants all at the same time all but killed the language. Most of those few who spoke it but were not on Orr at the time have since died. Many charlatans and crooks claim to have dictionaries of Old Ornac. If anyone truly does speak the language, they keep the knowledge to themselves. Anyone with the knowledge of Old Ornac would be in a unique position to unlock untold powers long dormant on the Mechanical Ilse.
Old Ornac was succeeded by New Ornac, though the two share no linguistic similarities or heritage.
