The Fellwood
Beware the Fellwood's dark embrace, for its depths contain more terrors than treasures.
The Fellwood, also known as The Brightwood, is a vast forest that stretches across the Blighted Lands. The forest is split down the middle, with one half consumed by the blight's corruption and the other half preserved by the magic of the Blightbell.
The fell half forest is suffocated by the blight, with gnarled and withered trees standing as twisted sentinels. The air is heavy with a foul miasma, and the ground is covered in sickly moss and decaying foliage. Strange and dangerous creatures, mutated by the blight, prowl its shadowed depths. Travelers passing through hear often hear eerie whispering and other sounds that can only be described as unnatural coming from within. The Fellwood stands as a haunting testament to the insidious touch of Nal, a place where the boundary between life and death blurs.
In stark contrast to the blighted half, the Brightwood is a haven of vibrant life. The trees stand tall and majestic, their leaves lush and shimmering in various hues of green. Sunlight filters through the canopy, creating a serene and enchanting atmosphere. The Brightwood's groves teem with diverse wildlife, singing birds, and gentle woodland creatures. Hidden clearings and tranquil ponds offer places of respite and natural beauty.
Throughout the Fellwood, ancient ruins lay hidden beneath layers of vegetation and blighted growth. Remnants of civilizations long lost to time, their purposes and origins are shrouded in mystery. Fey creatures, blaming
the Limae for the fate of the forest, lurk in such places, ready to prey upon the unsuspecting wanderer.
