Deyethe Gudo was a thug from the city of Ul'Dah, and was known as one of the most talented thugs to ever be born. He was well known throughout Aldenard as a menace who also happened to stop The Cube. His best friend was Jeuby Deuby, a prolific member of the Deuby Family of Jeubites but he doesn't hold many other close ties. He eventually became the personification of a being known as The Thug Lyf and gains great power. After his victories alongside Jeuby Deuby, he settled down and ran a bar with him until he was knocked unconscious during the Brown Wedding, but he was soon revived by Geuby Deuby and his companion Francis Fransioux after they freed him from a demon lord holding him captive. He goes on to fight the incarnation of the Monk Lyf before falling unconscious again and having his throat cut by Francis Fransioux ending his life.

Early Life

The story of Deyethe Gudo begins like many other thugs from Ul'Dah, with his parents dying in a back alley mugging and their baby being sent to the nearest orphanage. Life at the orphanage was not easy with gang warfare occurring outside and in the orphanage itself, leading to Deyethe's distaste of the establishments altogether. Eventually he would run away and live on the streets with other thugs learning their ways and committing petty crimes to get by. By the time he reached adulthood he was well known and feared as he showed incredible potential at thugging.
During the later years of his time in Ul'Dah, Deyethe Gudo also took up the art of exhibitionism and stopped wearing pants pretty much everywhere. (Although he was not as well known for this as his thugging ability)

Against the Cube

Deyethe Gudo began his journey against the cube by mugging Jeuby Deuby, only to be stopped when the local law enforcement got involved. The two fought their way out together and decided in a local bar to join forces to take down some local cultists in the area. During their travels through the desert he is impressed by Jeuby's ability to brutally murder cultists and decides not to rob him and work together for longer. They continued their journey together for some time eventually slaying Santa in the streets of Ul'Dah and butchering his corpse, and meeting the God Rhalgr whom they travel with for some time as well. During their travels Jeuby Deuby had a vision from his gods about the Devourer of Worlds, also known as The Cube. Deyethe and Jeuby resolve to kill him and save the world (but for completely selfish reason, not some sort of altruistic instinct). Rhalgr informs the pair that they need to locate the Seven Gems of Power in order to defeat The Cube.

During their search for the gems Deyethe mastered his signiature technique, The Fiery Fists of Flaming Fury, agains the Demon Wall the pair encountered within Alsopor Keep. During this time they also began to hunt Greg Deuby, and Deyethe is stabbed in the back by an elf child after killing his parents. Miraculously, however, Deyethe Gudo is brought back to life in a new form as the personification of the Thug Lyf. After locating the Seven Gems of Power, the pair defeat the Cube and a short era of relative peace fell upon Aldenard.

Later Life and Death

For many years after the defeat of the Cube, Deyethe and Jeuby opened a bar in Ul'Dah that they managed until the day of the Brown Wedding. During the wedding of Jeuby Deuby and Zana Valenroff he was killed in the initial manure explosion set off by Greg Deuby in his act of vengeance and slipped into a coma for many years after he was kidnapped by demonic cultists who wanted revenge for their fallen brothers and sisters that Deyethe had cut down mercilessly in the past. He eventually regained consciousness and healed from his wounds before being freed from his crystal cage by Geuby Deuby and Francis Fransioux in a desperate bid to use his strenght to defeat Ivan, the Monk Lyf. After helping them defeat Ivan Deyethe Gudo falls unconscious due to overexerting himself in the battle and Francis Fransioux slit his throat so he can no longer terrorize the lands of Aldenard.
