Abraxas
Abraxas is an unusual Vedalken, for whilst he shares in their usual trait of rejoicing in the fact nothing is perfect, he strives more to understand why this is, rather than necessarily aiming to improve upon it.
Vedalken are curious by nature, but most fixate on understanding things and ideas, Abraxas has always been more interested in understanding people and creatures. Unfortunately his questions and approach often lack tact or subtlety and come across to non-Vedalken as naive verging on patronizing, but Abraxas's intent is almost always genuine childlike interest and curiosity.
This curiosity in other species has led to a natural fit in a less auspicious and sort after department in the Ministry for Arcane Understanding (or MAU for short), where Abraxas has worked for several decades. His peers at the MAU deem his work to be far less important than their main focus on seeking to unravel the arcane mysteries of the universe and bend them to their desired shape. Abraxas however has never been concerned by this opinion they hold and has always been content in his own curiosities.
The MAU is located in the capital city of Anhklpork in the Turtellian Realm. The figurehead of the institution are 4 Elephant heads gazing in the 4 points of the compass on a shield, with the moto "Enlightenment Through Understanding".
At 141 years of age, Abraxas is a relatively young Vedalken, closer to the maturity and development of a late 30s human. He stands a little over 6 feet 3 inches and has the usual slender and toned physique of his race, weighing around 180lbs. Whilst quite agile and healthy, he isn't particularly strong and exercises his brain far more than his biceps. He has 2 brothers and 2 sisters, a loving mother and father, all of whom care for him but consider him the odd duck of the family.
Game notes:
- Abraxas's cover identity at the Temple of the Sun was Zisa al-Dammii, a bartender. According to his coworker, Zaga alNi, Abraxas was somewhat famous for his cocktails, in particular a swirling, pink-coloured drink called the Desert Inferno.
