[Mining Town]

The story of this settlement is one that's often told in hushed tones, mainly because of how little information remains of it. What took place here is commonly known among the populace, the problem lies in trying to figure out why.
This is {Mining Town}, an old settlement of the Ara that was largely abandoned in the wake of the Vora. The Vora species rose from the local quarry that was built to extract the precious mineral resource the Ars call Oste, which is a primary component of their alloys for their transdimensional technologies.
[Mining Town} was recognized as one of the first settlements that experienced a huge population boom shortly after the arrival of the Ars. Unfortunately, as high as the growth was for the small town of workers in the face of the rush to mine the mineral resource, a sheer drop in population occurred after the Vora started leaving the quarry and attacking everyone without reason.
Now if visited, in addition to being part of the sealed off Sector Maraine, only the most stubborn individuals have decided to remain there, facing the threat of abandonment and the Vora on their own terms rather than join the exodus to the Riven Lands of Sector Xalia.
The event they call the Incident is focused here, as the reputed "source of the Vora" and most people keep a far distance from it now, and only those with the hungering curiosity for truth on the matter that separated most of the Otapi settlers from their original homes, or those seeking to make a quick profit off of remaining Oste deposits left behind can be found planning to head to [Mining Town] and secure the source of their intentions.
