You see the Forge, backlit by the flames of war, as the Hellknight armada sends molten tungsten hammering into Aspsis Consoritum starships, which explode into halos of magma that tumble into space. You see Deku Olivander backed by Aspsis agents, storming down a corridor over the corpses of Isra’s kin, headed towards the core. For an instant, the vision freezes in place in front of Deku — showing a yellow-robed man over one shoulder, and the Horseman of War over the other.
You see Sarge and Skittles, slumbering in the pods of an Access Beacon, eyes flittering about as if in a dream. Standing over them, Alexander Marcus smiles, as if seeing something in the shadows of the connection, and is pleased by what he finds. Over his shoulder, the screen-lit face of Poppy smiles as well, reading the logs, and turns to her master.
Poppy: “Do you know where that is?”
Alexander: “Castrovel... Call Nakira. Tell her we found him.”
You see a familiar view — like the perspective of your dreams — which rolls drunkenly about a filthy cave. You hear the fluttering of wings, and the desperate screech of an owl, before a shushing sound echoes. A woman leans over the camera, her eyes roiling with madness. The Haze tells you her name, and shows you a second face — Lady Charon, the Horsemen of Death, Perverter of Souls.
Charon: “Hush now, Zandeer.”
