Hierophant

The Hierophant is a sage of law and liberty, a seeker of ancient mysteries, and one of the twelve Keymasters of Heaven. His dogma is simple - uphold the law when just, ask meaningful questions, and be helpful. He is often followed by judges and priests, although many find him pompous and preachy.   Although the Hierophant has been known to mortals since before the Gap, very little is known about his past, and he interacts sparingly with his fellow Saints.

Blessing of the Hierophant

Range: Single Source, Single Target
Action: Full-Round Action
Duration: Special (See Text)   When invoking the Blessing of the Hierophant, blue chains form and shatter around the caster, exploding into bits of metal and ethereal shards. The caster may select a single target and demand that they appear in court before the Hierophant. Unless the creature is of Saint-level or higher, the creature, the caster, all witnesses, evidence, and allies are transported before the Azure Tribunal.   Both the caster and the creature may select a legal representative, although they are not required to answer the call. The Hierophant personally oversees and hears the case, and will come to a verdict of his own accord. This verdict will be final, binding, and just, and may include the death of the accused, or even the Blessing of the Hierophant (if the target is found to be wrongly persecuted). Once the trial is complete, all unaffected creatures and objects will be returned to their original location before this Blessing was invoked.
