The Vestrani family is a criminal cartel that runs many of the entertainment venues on Verdeon, but in particular the Vestrani Gaming Complex -- the largest casino-resort in the Burning Archipelago.
They specialize in high-stakes bets and a sheer variety of games, intended to siphon money from the gold-lined pockets of the station. Lately, they've begun to augment this business with loansharks and smaller games among the poor, making rumors of their criminal status one of the worst kept secrets on Mataras.

While it's no secret that Segal Vestrani runs the local cartel, few outside the organization know that the Vestrani Family pays homage to Hush, who has an owning stake in most of their businesses.
The blood-related members of the family lead the cartel, making the makeup of senior officers strictly Human, although a non-humans are allowed to populate the lower ranks.

History
While the history of the Vestrani family is relatively unknown to the public, Mining Team 1 reports having a run-in with them during their second job for Nib, in which they recovered the Sun Diver from their illicit chop shop after a bet gone wrong.
They gambled well at the casino, obtaining enough chips to buy the vessel back from the family, much to the delight of the Sun Diver's original pilot and prototype architect, Lurian Straza. She awarded the vessel to the team as thanks, which then ended up at the Deep Cultures Institute for its final modifications, and the form it exists in today.
