History

Relic of Darkness

The Black Blade is one of ten Weapons of Legend and by far one of the most dangerous of them all due to the corruption that is inflicts on all who wield it. The Scion, the god of Darkness, created it to spread its influence upon the world through chaos and destruction. It has been in the hands of many champions of its existence throughout the ages, all of which have been defeated sooner or later, but the power it grants them is excellent and terrible as they can take on armies on their own. Due to the weapon being created by a god, it cannot be destroyed, and many attempts have been made to seal it and throw away the key. However, time and time again, the weapon eventually vanishes or manages to find its way out of its prison. Only to reappear after a random time and repeat the same process.

Locked Away

In recent decades the blade would found once more and find itself a new champion to wield it, namely Zanpha the Shadow King, who would uncover it after being called to it like all champions. He would use it to create his empire and eventually begin the Shadow Wars that would see the world set on fire. However, he would be eventually defeated at the hands of the Pheonix Knight and take the Black Blade to be sealed away. It is now in a highly secret location and is constantly watched to ensure that it may never be claimed again.
