Rot Worms

You need to be careful where to step, you can easily fall into a worm tunnel if you're not too careful - Barrenland Gear
Amongst the few animals that remain in the Barrenlands, none could have been altered like the Rot Worms. Once believed to be normal worm size before pollution caused them to grow drastically. Leading them to grow to a monstrous size that has accelerated their metabolism to feed upon anything in sight, including waste and rotting bodies they come across from the waste produced in the Barrenlands.

Basic Information

Genetics and Reproduction

Rotworms often can reproduce naturally but can do so alone as they have male and female organs to fertilize eggs.

Rot Worms grow relatively fast once they hatch from their ends in three weeks those that survive their first few weeks will reach adulthood in the span of half of a year where they continue to grow to a massive size until they are unable to sustain themselves after three years.

Ecology and Habitats

Most Rot Worms can be found in heavily polluted areas across the Barrenlands eating whatever they can find living underground looking for food that they can eat.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Due to a hyperactive metabolism, they require a large amount of food often eating waste from garbage, corpses, and living things using their sense of smell and vibrations to find them.

Behaviour

I love messing round with horrible worms in game. Glad to see someone else likes it too.
