Adventuring Ward
"Welcome to the land of new beginnings!"
General Info
Best known for its services to cater to newcomers to Grehearth, the Adventuring Ward is both a tourist region and a place of selling one's service.Barge Wright Inn
Those who are interested in selling their services occupy the massive multi-floored tavern of the Barge Wright inn, handled by Barge Wright, handled by the Wright family since the conception of the city. Consisting of over 128 rooms, an underground sauna, and various community lounges for socializing, it is heralded by many as one of the finest in the region for a reasonable price of 2 silver a day for a room and meal. Specialty drink: The Wheaty White Mustache by the Luccheese Family. A wheat drink that's above average. Most people like it for its affordability and ease of convenience to purchase rather than taste alone. Specialty food: Buttered bread with aged cheese, Fried and salted potato crispers, and assorted smoked ham with a slice of lemon on the side for additional zest.Pathfinder Association's Main Lodge
Designed with large slabs of beautifully carved marbles with intricate patterns that showcase magical protection runes, the Main Lodge is one of the most well-protected and prestigious places in Grehearth -save for the actual grand lodge- Funded and owned by The Aliech Kingdom, it is home to The Pathfinder's Society. Often a site for tourism, its role is to deliver a magnitude of requests and cases. From high-level clientele who requires the slaying of deadly creatures in their lands, to the typical average layman asking for someone to fix his overgrown leshy basement, all such requests can be obtained here. It additionally functions as well as an information outpost, as it was the first to construct the steam pipe postal service. Directly hooked up to places of importance in Grehearth, messages can be sent, relieved, and obtained in minutes rather than days. Direct connections and constant piping by technicians who work 24/7 to keep the infrastructure running. While the creation of this system was highly regarded as an expensive prospect, it has saved many costs for sending spells and other services. However, manual shipment of packages and letters is still done to this day.Transit Station
With the advent of the Steam Engine, the creation of the railway system has led to high-speed transportation never seen before in the world of Iberia. Turning a 3-hour journey down to 30 minutes seems audacious at the time. Presently, it connects to the vast majority of the city of Grehearth, allowing citizens to travel freely. While it is expensive to take for the average citizen costing about 2 silver per ride, none can deny its usefulness and convenience.Blackwell Medical Center
Owner: Henry and Elizabeth Blackwell Providing healthcare and medical services for all adventurers alike, the Blackwell Medical Center aims to cover the necessities of a typical adventurer. While it is always jammed packed with busy folks from the other Wards, they are able to fulfill all basic requirements. Just be certain that you're covered by your Adventurer Insurance Plan, lest you pay a hefty fee for being an outpatient. They are funded by House Anaris, and it is prevalent in the tapestries on the outer doors.Hard-Hitting Smithry
Owner: Sir John Conference A well-renowned man for producing long-lasting, cost-efficient equipment directly made in-house, and made to order. While he works primarily alone, he often gets various equipment shipped from local blacksmiths to sell at his storefront. Many know how he was knighted by the Aliech Kingdom, but little dare asks about it in front of his face.Local Church of the Trinity
A small church located in the nearby region for dedicated faithful of the Holy Trinity. While there are not many dedicated churches for individual faiths of all of various faiths, many simply use this church as a place of their worship instead. It functions as a multi-religious region. While there have been minor incidents of different beliefs occurring here, many individuals keep to themselves while they are in this church. The Hoard's Gift
Owner: Ethtal Xyrith Ran by a female white Dragonborn who seems to be quite keen on purchasing items from others, rather than selling her wares. Often purchasing valuables at outrageously cheaper prices than their original intended price, she doesn't question where or how these items were obtained. Common crooks and adventurers alike frequently visit to peddle their wears relatively quickly before they leave, or before they get caught. It's generally implied that by selling her your wears at cheap prices, you also get her silence if and or when the authorities arrive to question her. Few dare enrage a Dragonborn's anger, especially one of an ancient upbringing. The Public Library
Owner: Calo Calowei A gnome ran library whose joy is to spread the joy and wonder of reading to all. Entry is only permitted if one carries a library card that is renewed every month. Within their books are mostly common books and papers that the typical person can obtain. Some Uncommons books are found within but are not disclosed. It's rumored that the books are upstairs, and any brash attempts of people storming the stairs to read them get a stern shouting by Calo Calowei.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
