Elemental Sprites

Magical Sprites are seen commonly throughout regions of strong magical energy. They are tiny little balls of elementals that float about in the air where there is a strong presence of magic, sometimes being able to be seen by the naked eye. It gets to the point occasionally where even non-magical individuals may seem. More often so they spot larger Sprites which are seen easily by their ambient glow. This glowing can often be seen near powerful magical casters, as Sprites are drawn to sources of magical energy. That is why some individuals opt to mask their mana in order from becoming illuminated.

In even rarer cases, Magical Sprites are can carry a semblance of intellect and function as familiars. This is conducted via a magical contract. While the circumstances of the contract vary from each individual, the Sprites imprint themselves onto the Contractor and adhere to similar ideals, personalities, and actions. No one truly knows how or why does this occurs, but it is accepted wildly as the case.
