Haiyuki (灰雪) was a magical event that prevented. It came in the shape of an Ash-Like-Snow Mist that blanketed the lands of Kirinokuni. Once it had touched the region, none could enter the land any further. Only through sheer coincidence, or perhaps fate may lead individuals ashore upon these lands.
While there are no written accounts about how it was caused, many would agree that it was upon spoken by the Retainers that this mist was the love of the Eternal Emperor Yin. For the mist protects against all natively and foreign creatures, disasters, and foreign diseases alike.
