Culture
Abled men and women alike, all merrily living their lives away despite the circumstances of the changing world. To be a Nifaldurian is to endure hardship not just by yourself, but with your community. Those who are born within Nifaldur's borders bear a strong sense of duty and kinship to each other. As Nifaldurians families live in close proximities in their respective Clans and are indicated by their familial Clan Daggers. While those born after the Fell Star Incident do not possess such strong qualities as their predecessors, many still understand what must be done for the sake of the people, and themselves.People of Nifaldur
There is a high level of scarcity within Nifaldur due to the inability to easily trade with other regions. This leads to these lands to be primarily built on the notation that every single piece of wood, every morsel of food, every scrap of metal is to be used fully to its utmost. To do so otherwise, would be an insult to those that struggled and persevered to do their duty. This is extremely known to be the case for alcoholic beverages, as refusing a drink entirely is known to be a great insult. However, many in Nifaldur only do this to close friends or fellow Faldurians and never strangers without good reason. Additionally, many are fond of dark humor and tend to make light of terrible situations.History
Faldur
A former cradle of civilization that consisted of thousands of-year-old architecture and culture now reduced to cinders due to the Fell Star Incident. Many that survived the destruction united under the Stoneguards, a remainder of the royals that led them underground the mountainous regions of Antrum. The remainder of their once-thriving civilization lays defunct. What little life remains, are unnatural creatures known as the Remnants of the Shadow of Erg. Or just Remnants for short. Hostile against all forms of life, to enter such lands is highly recommended to avoid even for seasoned adventurers.
To contest this encroaching mass of monsters outside their lands, the survivors developed a line of defense known as the Walls of Antrum. A fortress that spans from mountain line to mountain line. With runic embellishments and engravings for protection and warmth, they are able to hold the line against wandering creatures.
Nifaldur
Built under the massive underground caverns beneath the massive Anthrum Mountain Line, it is primarily home to the Dwarves, a population best known for their craftsmanship, unity, and loyalty to any cause that they pursue. As prominent and leading figures of stonecutting technology, the outer frigid fields of Nifaldur were circumducted by their ingenuity. Through inspiration from the Jotuns that once roamed the lands of Turiad, they've embellished the stones they've carved with gold linings into protective runic sigils that embody protection against the natural elements, and establish structural integrity within their buildings and constructs.
With a new beginning, the denizens of these lands slowly expand deeper into the lands of the Anthrum Mountains for their highly condensed population While many are proud people, they do not seem it to be as degrading nor humiliating to live in such conditions, as their minds are focused on only improving and upheaving their people into the standards that they once were in previously before.
Relationship With Elenia Due to scarcity and the need for various needs throughout the many years of Faldur's existence, between the two regions of Eri and Turiad from the Elven community of Elenia has led towards a soured relationship. A promise that has yet to be upheld by the Elves remains a heated topic between the two lands. Many years ago, prior to the Fell Star Incident, the lands of the Elves were once rich with flora and abundance in life and wealth. As protectors of the Forest of Eri, they fended off creatures who desired the land for their own. Gnolls and Orcs alike would wage sieges and strike the land, claiming ownership of the continent, desiring the vast riches of what Elenia had to offer. In order to stand steadfast against the two, the enlistment of the Faldur's assistance in exchange for plots of lands in Eri was established. This fact remains well-known between the two communities, as it was never upheld. As citizens of Elenia refuse to acknowledge its existence in the first place, those of Faldur's community outcry continues to bash and abolish them for their refusal of acknowledgment. While relationships between the two were never great circumstances prior to this incident, the two cultures still had a semblance of respect for one another for their abilities.
