Those who reach this plane are greeted by an expanse filled with lesser angels and the formidable Gatekeepers of Heaven, who vigilantly prevent unauthorized entry into higher celestial realms.
Angels of the Seventh Heaven are devoted followers of the higher-tier angelic beings, performing sacred duties and tasks in the name of divine goodness. They embody Heaven's serviceable layer, acting under the guidance of their superior angels.
Frequently involved in the affairs of the Material Plane, the Seventh Heaven is home to many angels who serve their higher counterparts by influencing mortal events. These angels may descend to the Material Plane temporarily to wage war, enforce Heaven's order, or protect humanity from demonic corruption.
Their primary mission is to safeguard souls from the corrupting influences of the Maelstrom, Hell, and Abaddon planes. By doing so, they ensure the cycle of rebirth continues and that a steady flow of good-aligned souls enters the Soul Stream. It is said that souls who live virtuous lives may earn the chance to serve as angels in Heaven, while those who do not are reincarnated, destined to rejoin humanity on the planet of Iberia.
Each layer of Heaven is governed by a Steward, an angel tasked with oversight and organization. These Stewards wield great authority within their respective realms, commanding respect even from Lawful Gods who dwell in the regions, despite their higher status or power.
The Steward of the Seventh Heaven is Auriel, an angel renowned for her dedication to defending humanity. As the Gatekeeper of The Boundary, she is one of the most revered angels on Iberia, known for her active stance against Heaven's greatest foes and her unwavering commitment to aiding humanity.
