The Dominion Wars

A cataclysmic war that raged for multitudes of generations between the Jotun Giants and the Dragons. United under two leaders, the Chromatic Dragon and the founder of the Giants gathered their people for war.
For countless years, they ravaged the land, tainted the waters, and rained hellfire from the skies. Mountains would shatter, and the bountiful mounds of water would evaporate instantly, rendering these once fertile lands inhabitable. Other races that existed in this time fled throughout the land to avoid this strife, but to no avail. All creatures were caught in the crossfire. As many civilizations would be rallied through various circumstances to assist in the battles ahead of them.
Eventually, this destroyed what little Divinity remained in the land, causing a major continental collapse as the final battle came to a close. The lands would shatter into various pieces, as what was once known as the major continent of Iberia, became the continents that we know today.
