Battle of the Glendeiril Plains

The Battle of the Glendeiril Plains was a pivotal moment for the recently reforged Alliance of Marquest. It proved that the allied races of the Dwarves, Elves, Gnomes and Humans were capable of working together. Lead by King Soviak of Glendeiril and the Men Who Walk In Green the allied forced won the day and a decisive victory over the forces of Crildoon.

The Conflict

Prelude

The former High Practitioner Crildoon turned lich attack the recently crowned King and Practitioner Jaffalimar Greaylin in his tower. Crildoon was in search of the Staff of Draconic Influence an artifact of his own creation. He wanted this item to finish what he had started two thousand year prior the imprisonment of all dragonkind. It had come to his attention in his time in exile that some dragon had escaped his efforts. After centuries of being thought dead Crildoon emerge to finish what he started.
What had originally start as a mission for The Men Who Walk in Green to recruit allies to help the elves of the Shyvistul and Sharvastul forrests.

Outcome

Crildoon suffer a massive defeat at the Battle of the Glendeiril Plains. Not only did his forces lose the battle but also many of his supporters on the Dark Plain of Marquest. Theses supporters either didn't have as much confidence in Crildoon's leadership or they simple were being paid enough for the estimated losses over a long term war. 
The Allies moral exploded amongst all the races. The human of Tepth volunteered in numbers not seen in centuries. The Gnomes celebrated over their Kings  battle prowess, and rejoiced over the minimal damage to their country.

Aftermath

The victory won by the Alliance of Marquest was the first in a war brought on by the evil design of several powerful individuals. There have been a few large scale batle that have taken at different locations but many of these battles have been decided by the actions of few.

Legacy

The Battle of the Glendeiril Plains was a defining moment for the Men Who Walk In Green. They had traveled from one end of Marquest to the other. They met with royalty or nobility of every race, reforged alliances, rooted out a Doppleganger infestation, right the bloodline of a King, found the unknown heir to the throne of Tepth, and dispatched a clan of dragon from the dwarven Citadel of Noralode. Their exploits were numerous they fulfilled the prophecy of the Men Who Walk In Green that each raced had and collectively the Alliance as a whole. The two men will forever be honored by the allied races.
