The world of Ordonia, few remember a time before the Freeze, it was once a lush and fertile world but for unknown reason the temperature began to drop and the Age of Ice began. Slowly at first with growing speed Ice began to cover the world. Millions perished in the cold, yet millions more fled to the one safe haven seemingly immune to the effects of the cold.
Bastion, the gem of the west. A city of political significance even before the Age of Ice. Millions, of every race and culture, fled the creeping ice and found safe haven in Bastion.
Many speculate the reason Bastion was spared from the Ice, everything from divine intervention to dumb luck, to secret tunnel to the planets core.
Many had hoped the Ice would one day recede but for nearly a millennia now the Ice has remained locking the Citizen of Bastion into their last refuge.
